Nestled among the rolling hills of San Venanzio, La Cappella is much more than just a farm: it is a place where time seems to slow down, making room for the magic of tradition and the steady pulse of innovation. Since the 1960s, the historic manor house and the classic-style barn have been the heart of the Romani family, passionate guardians of an authentic heritage deeply connected to the land.

Here, every gesture tells a story of hard work, love, and vision: as many as 650 Italian Friesian cows are raised with respect and care, including 250 in lactation. They are fed only the best: fragrant forages and cereals grown directly in the family’s fields, following a self-sufficiency model that ensures health, wellbeing, and above all, exceptional milk. It is this pure and genuine milk that is chosen each day by the Poggioli Dairy to produce the most authentic Parmigiano Reggiano.

The arrival on the farm of Emanuele and Matilde Romani – the fresh energy of the second generation – marked the spark of innovation: thanks to cutting-edge technology and advanced digital feed control systems, the quality of the milk has become flawlessly consistent. But that’s not all: the use of artificial intelligence and state-of-the-art tools makes it possible to monitor, in real time, the health and wellbeing of the animals, enabling timely and precise intervention to ensure ideal conditions every day of the year.

Carlo, a historic figure at La Cappella and the soul of its agricultural dimension, keeps the connection to the land alive by personally overseeing the cultivation of the raw materials that feed the herd. His experience combines the tradition of ancient gestures with a modern and sustainable vision, making each liter of milk a true example of excellence.

La Cappella is living proof that future and past can walk together: here, respect for family history, a passion for animals, and the innovative spirit of new generations create a virtuous supply chain capable of bringing to the table the authentic flavors of our land and the value of a story that continues to evolve every day.
