CASA FERRARINI
The Ferrarini Farm is located in in Castelnuovo Rangone; in the foothills of the Modense countryside.
The story begins in 1953, with the work of Giovanni Ferrarini, now president of the Poggioli Dairy.
Later, his son Ettore decided to follow his father’s footsteps and also transmitted the passion for this job to his young daughters: Fabiana and Giada. This company represents three generations, linked by the enthusiasm and love for their work and consists of 490 Friesian Italian cows, of which 200 are lactating.
Ferrarini pays special attention to feeding the cows through a specific blend called UNIFEED, also used by other members of the Poggioli Cooperative Dairy, which maintains the nutrition of cows and ensures a standardised diet throughout the year. This way, the milk from Ferrarini is characterized by a high quality that distinguishes the Parmigiano Reggiano from the Poggioli Dairy. In addition, the company ensures the same forage throughout the year, another very important factor in maintaining the high quality of the milk and therefore the Parmigiano Reggiano.
